I recently installed an exterior outlet for outside christmas lights, by pigtailing the new line into an exsisting junction box. Later that night my street lost power for a couple of hours…and since then the outlet doesn’t work. Here’s what I know: NONE of the wires going in and out of the box are hot (4) including my new one. The breaker is fine. All other lights and outlets on that breaker work. There is no reset switch on any of the outlets. If my new outlet is bad, would that do it, and would the other lights work, but that box still be dead? How do I check? Should I tap into a different box…because nothing else in my house has been affected? Thanks for any advise, or help.-Art
IF NONE OF THE 4 WIRES IN THE J BOX HAVE POWER, THEN YOU MUST HAVE ADDITION OUTLETS/SWITCHES THAT ARE NOT WORKING?
MOST Christmas Lights HAVE A FUSE BUILT-IN TO THEIR PLUGS. WHEN THE POWER CAME BACK ON IT MAY HAVE SURGED AND BLEW THE FUSES.
DID YOU RESET THE BREAKER? SOMETIMES THEY APPEAR TO BE OK, BUT ARE NOT. TRY SWITCHING IT OFF THEN BACK ON.

I love to deep sea fish but, I have recently moved to Port Lavaca, Texas. They say the bay fishing is the best in the country. Flounder, red fish, and trout. The problem is, I don’t know what kind of bait to use. Artificial bait? A spoon? Live bait? Any advise would be appreciated.
I am purchasing a shallow sport boat, so I can get into the shallow waters and go after the flounder. I intend to install lights on the bow and have seen several of these types of set ups around here.
Merry Christmas
Skinny water fishing
There are several ways to fish these inland bays along the Gulf coast. One of the favorite ways is using a popping cork with a live shrimp, mud minnow, small mullet, or baby crab. Most of the water you will be fishing in will only be about 3 ft deep. Fish the grass-lines near the banks during high tide using a popping cork with live shrimp for Red’s. Fish the steeper banks near any of the inlets where the Gulf is feeding into the bay for Flounders. Depending on the steepness of the banks you will have to adjust your popping cork to fish a little deeper in these areas. Use a mud-minnow or a flounder pounder which is a artificial bait you should be able to find there pretty easily. The Specks will be around this Spring. Just follow the seagulls feeding on the water. Use double Speck rigs. When you get the hang of using a Speck rig you will be catching two at a time. Green chartreuse and watermelon colored Speck rigs used to be a big hit but just keep a variety of different colored jigs on board to be sure. Look for places you can gig for flounder at night. I use to gig flounder out of Christmas Bay near Freeport. I would secure my boat on the bank and walk the shallows to gig flounder using a Coleman lantern for light. I used to gig 5-7lb saddle-blankets in about 16 in. of water. That’s almost to shallow for a flat bottom boat. 30 yr Gulf coast exp

This is my personal footage of the Rhema Lights located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Some facts about the lights: over 1.5 million lights decorate the church with about a third of them being energy-efficient lights, there are over 72,000 on the Rhema Bridge alone, some of the lights are sequenced to 10 songs, more than 80,000 vehicles visit the display each year, a 22 person crew install and take down the lights and installation takes about 3 months. Music in the background is Mannheim Steamroller. Please enjoy my footage of the Rhema Bible Church Christmas Lights.

Our electric bill increased from $384.92 to $632.85 in one month. We didn’t have any Christmas Decorations or anything like that. The only thing I can think of is that I bought a computer after Thanksgiving and had the Internet installed. Could this be the reason? Can there be a mistake?
We live in Texas-not much to heat.
Our meter is located behind some bushes in our front yard. My mom just thinks some meter reader just made up something so he wouldn’t have to go thru those bushes. On the meter I see about 5 little dials, I don’t know how to read it and they don’t seem to be moving.

i’m talking about the little LED’S that go in the aquarium.
do fish think its basically lights out and come out as they would if the lights were off? eg catfish synodontis that kinda stuff?
also is there a way of making them yourself like old Christmas lights?
That’s pretty much how it works. Nocturnal light influences fish, coral, and other activity just as much as sunlight. Adding these "moon lights" (hence the name) allows you to view your nocturnal inhabitants without disturbing them.
I like your idea on the DIY Christmas Lights, but I don’t think they are going to give you what your looking for. The LEDs companies make, have specific colors, which will penetrate the water column, giving you better "moon glow".
Browse around on ebay, there are all sorts of inexpensive lunar lights.
