How do you hang christmas lights without eaves?

Our roof doesn’t have an overhang like most roofs require in order to hang Christmas Lights along the house. I know there are those plastic clips that you can use, but they’re not very durable and i don’t want to count on them the whole holiday season. Any suggestions on how to get my lights up there?

There are lots of different types of light clips you can use depending on your situation: universal clips, gutter clips, brick clips, adhesive clips, shingle tabs, parapet clips, etc. You can find them all here: http://www.christmasworld.com/installation-accessories
Good luck!

How about screwing in cup hooks (large ones) and stretch out your lites.

If you live in a single-story house you could try using plastic shingle tabs that slip underneath the shingles and attach the lights this way.
