Brewer House Christmas Shows (Year One)

Video medley of the 1st annual light and sound shows I programmed for Christmas 2009 at my house! Five shows altogether going every half-hour at night. Each show goes twice.

Took two weeks to program and many excursions under the raised foundation to run cable and install dimmers and speakers. Cars can also tune their radios to an FM signal near the house to hear the shows from their car. Shows are time-based but also I’ve configured my iPod Touch to trigger shows remotely.

24 channels, DMX and MPX, over 1500 feet of cable, and 3500 lights! I’m using Show Cue System with MIDI Show Control, an NSI MC7516 for light cue stacks/chases, and an Elation Stage Setter 8 for non-dims.

UPDATE: Just added a video timer from 5 minutes to countdown to when the next show starts – a VGA monitor in my window. Maybe next year it can be rear-projection!
