Every year Becky Mallar, owner/innkeeper of 1785 Inn & Restaurant, decorates the Inn for Christmas and the winter Holidays. This video shows some of those decorations for the winter of 2009/10. The 1785 Inn is a B&B Country Inn (small hotel & restaurant) at a scenic area just north of North Conway in the White Mountains of NH (for more info see the web site www.the1785inn.com).

Around the room in 60 seconds:

1) front and center: scarf guy.
2) my dining room table (left), which has about 1 month’s worth of laundry i’ve finally washed and folded. the chair you see has about 7 shirts that need to be ironed. i hate ironing. dry cleaning gift cards warmly welcomed this season.
3) if you look closely through the sliding glass door (center), you’ll see the fake spider webs from a killer halloween party we threw 1.5 months ago. i feel they compliment my tree quite nicely. others feel they should be removed before our christmas bash saturday.
4) another close look in the reflection on the door and you’ll see my new lamp. recognize it? i love lamp.
5) i kinda “lampooned” my tree. it’s barely taller than me but has about 1200 lights. my middle brother is a fireman, i hope he doesn’t see this. he’ll drive three hours just to kick my….

thanks to josh grobin for the reminder that a pop/classical mix can still result in a nice rendition of a holiday song. hope everyone has a safe and warm holiday season!!!

Watch this video for a demonstration of “How To String Christmas Tree Lights”. To complete the task, you will need:

Strings of lights
LED lights
Extension cords

Get started with the first step: If youre using last years lights, check them to make sure they dont have any frayed wires, burned-out bulbs, or cracked sockets. If you are buying lights, figure on 100 lights for every foot of tree. Dont connect more sets than the manufacturer suggests or you might blow a fuse.
